Product quality and bit life is extended on this premium tool by its chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel alloy body and uniformly brazed carbide inserts. Professionals appreciate the centering tip featured on most SDS-max bits that facilities easy spot drilling. SDS-max drill bits incorporate a variety of new features that enhance durability and drilling speed, while improving ease of use.

SDS-max drill bits have a tough resistance to bending forces and wear, as they’ve been heat-treated with a shot-peened finish. The finish on these bits simultaneously increases drilling speed and surface hardness as well. Ease of use is amplified with a chisel-shaped head that easily penetrates material. The 4 x 90° head geometry crushes through rebar to prevent sticking in concrete.
