The centering tip featured on most SDS-max bits is a plus for installers because it makes spot drilling nice and easy. Product quality and bit life is extended on this premium device by its chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel alloy body and uniformly brazed carbide inserts.

Designed with strength and reliability, SDS-max drill bits are heat-treated with a shot-peened finish for a strong resistance to bending forces and wear. The finish on these bits simultaneously increases drilling speed and surface hardness. Ease of use is amplified with a chisel-shaped head that easily penetrates material. The 4 x 90° head geometry crushes through rebar to prevent sticking in concrete. You’ll find the high-volume, double-helix design of this quad-head bit highly efficient as its patented, high-performance, reinforced core flute maximizes energy transfer upon use.
