The original, high-strength mechanical screw anchor is none other than the Simpson Strong-Tie Titen HD Heavy Duty THD50500H 1/2” x 5”. Cracked and uncracked concrete, as well as uncracked masonry are ideal applications for this mechanical anchor. It’s no wonder that the Titen HD is professionals’ choice. Studies show a 50% torque reduction over its competitors. The Titen HD Heavy Duty Screw Anchor performs even under seismic conditions.

Still not impressed? The screw tip of the THD50500H is heat-treated in a specialized process that improves ductility. The Titen HD THD50500H 1/2” x 5” is designed for dry indoor, non-corrosive environments, or temporary outdoor applications. Install with a 1/2” drill bit. The Hex-washer head is removable with a 3/4” wrench and does not require a separate washer unless specified by code. The Titen HD Heavy Duty is zinc plated and comes in a box of 20 mechanical anchors. CODE listed under IBC/IRC in accordance with ICC-ES AC193, ACI 355.2 for cracked and uncracked concrete, and ICC-ES AC106 for masonry. Order today and see the difference!
