The first of its kind, the battery-powered DCN701 Cordless Cable Stapler from Dewalt may eliminate hand stapling electrical wire for good. The compact, lightweight stapler (4.7 lbs without battery) was designed to quickly and efficiently fasten residential wiring. It's compatible with Romex brand cables and wires, and features a proprietary cable guide to precisely drive staples over cable.
The Dewalt DCN701B comes as a bare tool only, and does not include battery, charger or other accessories available with the kit model. This Dewalt cordless electrical cable stapler is powered by 20V MAX Li-Ion battery and drives up to 1,600 1" proprietary insulated cable staples (DRS18100) per battery charge. A compact frame and center-mounted LED light on the tool allow for stapling in low-light conditions. The cable stapler features an extended trigger for firing in various orientations. Dewalt guarantees the tool with a three-year, limited manufacturer warranty.

Very nice tool. A little bulkier than expected but will fit between 16" centers. It's powerful but you need to exert good pressure while stapling or it will jump a little and the staple will not go all the way in. Ordinarily this wouldn't be a problem. You just smack the staple with a hammer. The problem, though, is that the staples are somewhat thin and will more than likely collapse when you try to nail them in. So make sure you have the gun firmly seated to the surface of what your stapling to. Other than that small issue this tool is great. I've done at least 500 staples today without the battery going dead. Very happy with it and the service of nailgundepot.com. Thank you for that.
