The Titen HD Heavy-Duty Screw Anchor THD50400H 1/2” x 4”, from industry leader Simpson Strong-Tie, is the contractor's choice for the toughest concrete and masonry applications. Use on cracked AND uncracked concrete as well as uncracked masonry. The THD50300H is strong enough to withstand seismic conditions, and it’s been tested at 50% less torque than its competitors. The THD50400H is zinc plated, carbon steel and designed mainly for indoor use, but can temporarily be used outdoors or in non-corrosive environments. Titen HD THD50400H 1/2” x 4” maintains ductility with its heat-treated, hardened tip. Installation is easy with a standard 1/2” drill bit. If needed, remove the one-time use fastener with a 3/4” wrench. CODE listed under IBC/IRC in accordance with ICC-ES AC193, ACI 355.2 for cracked and uncracked concrete, and ICC-ES AC106 for masonry.
