The original, Heavy-Duty screw anchor trusted by contractors, is the Simpson Strong-Tie Titen HD THD50612H 1/2” x 6-1/2”. Cracked AND uncracked concrete, as well as uncracked masonry are ideal applications for this recognized mechanical anchor. In fact, studies show a 50% torque reduction over its competitors. The Titen HD Heavy-Duty fastener performs even under seismic conditions.
Still not impressed? The screw tip is heat-treated in a process that improves ductility. The Titen HD THD50612H 1/2” x 6-1/2” is for dry indoor use in non-corrosive environments, or temporary outdoor applications. Install with a standard ANSI drill bit. The Hex-washer head is removable with a 3/4” wrench and does not require a separate washer unless specified by code. The Titen HD THD50612H is zinc plated and comes in a box of 20 anchors.
