Simpson Strong-Tie has created another winner with the Titen HD Rod Coupler THD50934RC 1/2” x 9-3/4”. The Titen HD Rod Coupler functions with single or multi-story rod tiedown systems. The threaded rod, which is enhanced by a specialized heat-treating process, attaches to a concrete stem wall or thickened slab footing. Its serrated teeth allow the THD50934RC to do this quickly and easily. Professionals find this fastener a cost efficient, ideal alternative to adhesive anchors.

Installation of the THD50934RC requires no special tools, cure time or additional setting processes. Simply drill a hole and drive the anchor. Be sure to drill a hole in the base material at least 1/2” deeper than the required embedment. Note: Oversized holes in the base material will reduce or eliminate mechanical interlock of the threads and reduce the anchor's load capacity. The Titen HD Rod Coupler is for one time use only. Code listed in ESR-2713 for wind and seismic loading. Tested in accordance with ACI355.2 and AC193. The THD50934RC has 20 anchors per box. Try them today!
