The Strong-Drive SDWC Truss Screw is specially designed for use with the QUIK STIK Rafter and Truss Fastening System. Made by Simpson Strong-Drive, this 6" x 0.152" screw (Item #SDWC15600B-KT) smoothly drives into wood without splitting it. The rafter and truss screw features a type-17 point, a T30 6-lobe drive recess, and a cap head for consistent drive and countersinking. No predrilling is required.
Tested in accordance with ICC-ES AC233 and AC13 (wall and roof-to-wall assembly), the code-listed SDWC screw has an orange topcoat for quick inspections. A fully threaded shank creates a secure connection by engaging the entire length of the fastener. Use this structural wood screw for top plate-to-rafter, stud-to-top plate, sole-to-rim, and stud-to-sole connections. Includes (2) matched-tolerance driver bits and (2) metal installation guide tools.
