The original, high-strength mechanical screw preferred by contractors, is the Simpson Strong-Tie Titen HD Heavy Duty THD50600HMG 1/2” x 6”. Cracked and uncracked concrete, as well as uncracked masonry are ideal applications for this proven mechanical anchor. In fact, tests show a 50% torque reduction over its competitors. The Titen HD THD50600HMG is designed for interior and exterior applications. The Hex-washer head screw is removable with a 3/4” wrench and does not require a separate washer unless specified by code. The Titen HD Heavy Duty is ASTM B695 Class 65 mechanically galvanized and comes in a box of 20 mechanical anchors. Install with a standard 1/2" drill bit.
